Extended aluDISC round aluminium enclosures range

ROLEC scored a world first with its innovative aluDISC range of high quality round aluminum electronic enclosures – and now it has extended the popular range.

Before aluDISC there were no round IP 67 and IP 69K standard electronic enclosures for industrial applications. Designers needing a round diecast enclosure that would integrate visually with pipework or similar industrial equipment had to have one custom manufactured.

Then aluDISC changed all that for the better – and now ROLEC has added a new larger size. Previously there were three sizes from 4.33" x 3.81" x 2.16" to 5.90" x 5.47" x 3.14" but the new AR 160 has extended the aluDISC range to 7.48" x 7.04" x 3.54".

Right from day one ROLEC was very smart in its styling of aluDISC – offering an enclosure that looks round but still offers flat surfaces for mounting cable glands and controls. The inspiration came from the shape of a wristwatch.

This unique design helps to make aluDISC a ‘go anywhere’ enclosure that will fit walls, bulkheads and machines for a wide range of applications. And like many other ROLEC enclosures, aluDISC can be installed ‘lid closed’ to protect the seal and electronics.

All the stainless steel lid and fixing screws are hidden beneath thermoplastic POM (polyoxymethylene) cover trims – enhancing the aesthetics and providing added protection. Each lid features a 0.06" recess to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label.

Need to protect a display? ROLEC aluDISC enclosures are also available with transparent lids (which are sealable and UV stable for outdoor use).
